Robert McCammon will be signing copies of The Providence Rider (and other books) at the Alabama Booksmith in Birmingham, AL, on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 4 PM.

If you can’t make the signing but would like a signed copy of the book, visit the Alabama Booksmith website for details on how you can reserve a signed copy. They will also have copies of all of the in-print McCammon titles available for sale.

May is National Short Story Month! Did you know that there are more than a dozen Robert McCammon short stories that you can read for free right here on this site? Check out the Robert McCammon Fiction page for links to such great stories as “Night Calls the Green Falcon,” “Nightcrawlers,” the award-winning “The Deep End,” and many more. Most of the stories are uncollected, which means they appeared in various anthologies and haven’t been reprinted in Blue World.

There are a couple of new international editions of Robert McCammon’s work coming out. A few vintage editions have also been added to the Book Cover Gallery, along with the cover of the ARC for the upcoming Bradbury tribute Shadow Show; it’ll be out in July 2012. Polish publisher Wydawnictwo Papierowy Księżyc is releasing a new translation of Boy’s Life, which sports some fantastic new cover art. A website has been created to promote the release: robertmccammon.pl
Russian publisher Eksmo has released a new hardcover edition of Usher’s Passing.
A 1997 French book, La Grande Anthologie du Fantastique (Tome 2), included McCammon’s “Yellowjacket Summer”.
A 1996 Czech anthology, Hlas Kvre (Voices of Blood), included McCammon’s “Nightcrawlers”.
A 1997 Czech magazine, Ikarie, included McCammon’s “The Miracle Mile”.
The HarperCollins trade edition of Shadow Show includes McCammon’s new story, “Children of the Bedtime Machine”.

On April 22, 2012, Robert McCammon was the guest of the Huntsville Literary Association. He read the first chapter from The River of Souls, the in-progress fifth Matthew Corbett book, and signed books for the assembled crowd.

Subterranean Press has announced the trade hardcover edition of The Hunter from the Woods, which will be available in Fall 2012. You can pre-order the trade hardcover edition from Subterranean here.

Subterranean Press has also published the final part of their 3-part interview with Robert McCammon by Gwenda Bond. She and Robert talk about Matthew, his favorite research finds, the challenges of writing historical fiction, and the exclusive new Matthew Corbett novella that will be included with the limited edition. Robert also shares a tip about something to look for the books that fans of the series won’t want to miss. WHC 2012/Bram Stoker Awards reports and photos

Robert McCammon attended the 2012 Bram Stoker Awards Banquet, held in conjunction with the 2012 World Horror Convention in Salt Lake City, UT, from March 29 through April 1, 2012. There was a group talk and signing held at Columbus Library on March 29, a mass signing on March 30, a “Robert McCammon Q&A” on March 31, and the Stoker Awards the evening of March 31.

I’ve been told that the Robert McCammon Q&A Session was video recorded and will be posted soon on the HWA YouTube channel. I’ll post it as soon as it’s available. You can watch the entire Bram Stoker Awards Ceremony on Ustream.
