French publisher Monsieur Toussaint Louverture will publish their new two-volume translation of The Wolf’s Hour on May 22, 2026. They initially just teased the covers, but those have been revealed now and can be seen below. Monsieur Toussaint Louverture has previously published Boy’s Life and Swan Song.

Here’s their new Facebook post:

In English:

After several attempts and exploring various directions, we have finally found a book format capable of properly housing Robert McCammon’s novels today—whether previously unpublished or not, whether sprawling or compact, and whether they feature psychopaths or wolves. Yet, these books were right under our noses (stuffed-up noses, evidently!) for the past few years!

The McCammon Library continues the aesthetic vision first established with Michael McDowell and Pedro Oyarbide.

Produced in France and featuring an accessible format, this series offers a straightforward way to introduce readers to one of the greatest contemporary storytellers.

*The Hour of the Wolf*, Volumes 1 & 2, are being released simultaneously, forming a complete, cohesive story. Volume 2 includes a brand-new, previously unpublished short story centered on Michael Gallatin.

Pre-orders open next week. Release date: May 22.

In the market for some original art used for Robert McCammon novels? Artist Steve Crisp illustrated gobs of book covers in the UK in the ’80s and ’90s, and many of his pieces are being exhibited on IX Gallery. His original art pieces used for the UK paperback editions of BAAL, BETHANY’S SIN, and MYSTERY WALK are included in the exhibit and are available for purchase.

As of 2026-04-10, the art for Mystery Walk and Baal have been sold.

Penny Dreadful: The Classic Horror Art of Steve Crisp

Even if you’re not looking to purchase, the exhibition is a lot of fun to see!

Robert McCammon (and I) have nothing to do with this sale, I just thought you’d be interested in seeing it, at least.

French publisher Monsieur Toussaint Louverture has acquired the French rights to publish a translation of The Wolf’s Hour. The deal was just signed, so there are no publication details yet.

Monsieur Toussaint Louverture previously published French editions of Boy’s Life in 2022 (and 2024) and Swan Song in 2023.

French editions of The Wolf’s Hour were previously published by France Loisirs (1989), Presses de la Cité (1990), Presses Pocket (1992), and Milady (2008). Presumably, this will be a new translation, but time will tell.

From the SST website:

“McCammon delivers terror with skillful ferocity.”—Publishers Weekly

The basis for the Peacock TV series Teacup: An extraterrestrial bounty hunter turns a Southern community into its private hunting ground in “the ultimate horror novel” (The Philadelphia Inquirer).

The West Texas desert towns of Inferno and Bordertown have been slowly dying. The Snake River isn’t the only thing that divides them. Racism and gang wars have turned the sun-scorched flatlands into a powder keg. If anything can unite them now, it’s the UFO that comes crashing through the clouds.

It brings with it a young alien named Daufin, a fugitive who has taken human form. She knows the terror that awaits this planet—because it’s looking for her. Stinger is an alien bounty hunter with an infinite capacity for death and a devious plan to find Daufin. Entombing the region in an inescapable dome, Stinger unleashes a violent fury unknown to humankind. Now, the few remaining survivors must come together to protect Daufin, themselves, and the world beyond.

From Robert McCammon, the New York Times–bestselling and Bram Stoker Award–winning author, Stinger is “one of the best suspense novels of recent years” (Science Fiction Chronicle). It has now been adapted into one of the most hotly anticipated horror series on television: Teacup, premiered on Peacock in October 2024.
