Robert McCammon eBooksOn October 18, 2011, much of Robert McCammon’s pre-Speaks the Nightbird backlist, from Mystery Walk through Gone South, will be available in various eBook formats. The books will be published by Open Road Integrated Media, and more information, including a video profile of Robert McCammon, will be available on October 18.

The Hunter From the Woods

Hunter is preselling so well that we many not have copies available to our wholesale and large online retail accounts. A direct order is your best bet to guarantee you receive a copy.

Subterranean Press has revealed the cover art for Robert McCammon’s upcoming The Hunter from the Woods, a collection of stories and novellas featuring Michael Gallatin, the lycanthropic hero of The Wolf’s Hour.  The art is by Vincent Chong, who also did the cover art for the recent Subterranean limited edition of The Wolf’s Hour.  The book is scheduled for publication in November 2011. Subterranean Press has also made the complete novella “The Room at the Bottom of the Stairs” available as a free ebook download in EPUB (NOOK) and MOBI (Kindle) formats.  This novella originally appeared in the limited edition of The Wolf’s Hour, and it is also included in The Hunter from the Woods.  You can download the novella from the Subterranean Press order page.

Russian publisher Эксмо (Eksmo) has released new hardcover editions of four of Robert McCammon’s novels: They Thirst, The Wolf’s Hour, Swan Song (2 volumes), and Boy’s Life (2 volumes).  The covers of all six books have been added to the Book Cover Gallery.   • Subterranean Press has posted the cover art for The Five. You can click on the image below to see a larger version.
  • Robert McCammon’s Bram-Stoker Award-winning short story “The Deep End” will be reprinted later this year in a new anthology entitled Creatures: Thirty Years of Monsters. The book is edited by John Langan and Paul Tremblay. It will be published in November 2011 as a trade paperback by Prime Books. The full Table of Contents for the book can be found here.
  • Fan Kazuki Tamada sent in another illustration inspired by The Wolf’s Hour. You can see the image on Kazuki’s Fan Art page or click on the image below.
  • I recently acquired a copy of the trade hardcover edition of Mister Slaughter that has a full-page, original remarque done by Vincent Chong. I’ve added a scan of the image to the Book Cover Gallery.

Our mammoth (nearly 700 pages) edition of Robert McCammon’s werewolf classic, The Wolf’s Hour, is in our warehouse and shipping.The Signed Limited Edition which features a brand new 36,000 word Michael Gallatin adventure is over 90% sold out. We should add that we will not be filling any orders for our wholesale or large online retail accounts. The classic novel and new novella are joined by the movie poster-inspired dust jacket by Vincent Chong, as well as three full color interior illustrations, including a pull-out of the novel’s centerpiece “death train” scene.
