vc_photoThe Stephen King-centric website Lilja’s Library has posted a very informative interview with artist Vincent Chong. Though the interview questions relate to Vincent’s work on various editions of Stephen King’s novels, Vincent has also worked on several of the Subterranean Press editions of Robert McCammon’s novels: the Matthew Corbett books, The Five, The Wolf’s Hour, and The Hunter from the Woods.

You can read the interview here.

Artist Vincent Chong, who did the cover for The River of Souls, has posted four of the black-and-white interior illustrations he did for the Subterranean Press edition. He did a few extra illustrations, both black-and-white and color, for the limited edition, which also includes a bonus short story, “The Scorpion’s Eye.”

And Subterranean Press has posted two interior illustrations that artist Les Edwards did for their upcoming limited edition of They Thirst.

Visit the Subterranean Press site to purchase the limited editions of The River of Souls and They Thirst.

Thanks to artist Vincent Chong, T-shirts featuring the cover art for the Subterranean Press edition of The River of Souls are now available in the Robert McCammon’s Worlds shop at Spreadshirt! They join shirts featuring the logo for The Five and the covers for Mister Slaughter, The Providence Rider, and The Hunter from the Woods.

Artist Vincent Chong created the artwork for the recent Subterranean Press editions of Mister Slaughter, The Providence Rider, The Wolf’s Hour, The Hunter from the Woods, and The Five. He just posted some photos of some recent remarques he’s done for fans. (A remarque is an original drawing in a book.) You can find the photos on his blog here, or click on the photo to the right. They look fantastic!

The T-shirts we did for The Five were popular enough that we decided to offer T-shirts featuring the cover artwork from Mister Slaughter and The Providence Rider.  Vincent Chong’s fantastic covers look great on a T-shirt!

Artist Vincent Chong recently completed the artwork for the upcoming Subterranean Press release of Robert McCammon’s The Providence Rider, the fourth book in the Matthew Corbett series.  He posted a few examples of the artwork on his blog.  Vincent wrote:

As with Mister Slaughter, I did a number of B&W interiors, but for this one I also provided colour endpaper art (which you can see below) and two colour interiors, one to go with the new story, Death Comes for the Rich Man (another Matthew Corbett adventure), that accompanies this volume.

You can click on the images below to view larger versions of the art. The Providence Rider can be pre-ordered here.

Congratulations to Vincent, who last year received two British Fantasy Awards for ‘Best Artist’ and for ‘Best-Non Fiction’ for his art book Altered Visions. He was also nominated for the 2011 World Fantasy Award for ‘Best Artist’.

The Hunter From the Woods
From Subterranean Press:

Robert McCammon’s new collection of linked tales featuring Michael Gallatin, hero of his classic novel, The Wolf’s Hour, looks to be headed to the printer ahead of its scheduled date. At the moment, we’re waiting for Rick to set pen to signature pages. As soon as those are in hand, The Hunter from the Woods shuttles off to the printer.

In the meantime, head over to the Hunter page to check out a few of Vincent Chong’s seven full-color interior illustrations. Hunter is preselling so well that we many not have copies available to our wholesale and large online retail accounts. A direct order is your best bet to guarantee you receive a copy.
