Subterranean Press has revealed the cover art for Robert McCammon’s upcoming The Hunter from the Woods, a collection of stories and novellas featuring Michael Gallatin, the lycanthropic hero of The Wolf’s Hour.  The art is by Vincent Chong, who also did the cover art for the recent Subterranean limited edition of The Wolf’s Hour.  The book is scheduled for publication in November 2011. Subterranean Press has also made the complete novella “The Room at the Bottom of the Stairs” available as a free ebook download in EPUB (NOOK) and MOBI (Kindle) formats.  This novella originally appeared in the limited edition of The Wolf’s Hour, and it is also included in The Hunter from the Woods.  You can download the novella from the Subterranean Press order page.

T-shirts for THE FIVE
Sample T-shirts for THE FIVE

Thanks to Vincent Chong for the use of his logo for Robert McCammon’s The Five, we’ve created some logo T-shirts to help promote the book.  All of the shirts have The Five band logo on the front in either black or red, depending on the color of the shirt.

The purpose of the shirts is simply to help promote the release of The Five. In order to keep the costs down, no profit is made from these shirts; the prices shown are the actual costs of the shirts from Spreadshirt.com. A variety of shirt types, colors, and sizes are available.

Note that the printing and shipping of the shirts is handled entirely by Spreadshirt. In my experience, it takes about 7 to 10 days for U.S. orders to be delivered.

Robert McCammon’s new contemporary novel, The Five, will soon be available (some Amazon pre-orders have already been shipped).  If you’d like to help promote The Five, here are image files for bookmarks and a “shelf-talker” (when printed and folded in half, the “shelf-talker” can be inserted under books on a shelf in a bookstore, with the bottom half of the image displayed).  The files are 300 DPI images, suitable for high-quality printing.  If you can print these and take them to bookstores, conventions, etc., for distribution, that would help spread the word of the book’s release.

Thanks to Vincent Chong for the use of his artwork and to Dave Ballard, who put these together!

Subterranean Press has posted the following update on their site:

Have a look at Robert McCammon’s The Wolf’s Hour page, where we’ve just posted two of the full-color interior illustrations, including the foldout death train scene. The book is progressing nicely, on schedule for its fall release. We’ve designed the book and proofread it once, and are going through it a final time. Now that all of the art is in, we’ll be ordering Advance Reading Copies in the next week.Speaking of the art for The Wolf’s Hour, Vincent Chong blogged a bit about the influences behind his striking cover for the book.
