Bulgarian publisher Iztok-Zapad is releasing a Bulgarian translation of Robert McCammon’s classic coming-of-age novel, Boy’s Life. The translation was done by Elena Pavlova, and the cover design, shown below, is by Denitsa Trifonova. The book will hit Bulgarian bookstore shelves on August 26, 2013.

As some of you have noticed, Swan Song is no longer in-print. The print rights to the book have reverted back to Robert McCammon. Hopefully a new publisher will pick up the book soon. I’ll keep you posted. But if you’ve wondered why it can’t be ordered and why copies of the trade paperback are selling for $40 or more on Amazon, that’s why. There are, of course, still copies available on third-party and used markets.

The August 2013 issue of Nightmare Magazine includes a reprint of Robert McCammon’s classic short story “Nightcrawlers.” It also includes a small Q&A with McCammon about the story. Speaks the Nightbird will finally be released as an ebook in October 2013. It should be available in all formats in all countries. It is the last of the McCammon books to be released as an ebook.

The 2013 Bram Stoker Awards presentation was held on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans, LA. Among the awards presented were the Lifetime Achievement Awards to Robert McCammon and Clive Barker. A video of the full awards ceremony has been uploaded to YouTube and can be viewed below. Robert McCammon was a guest reader at the My Favorite Poem Sixth Annual Literary Event held on September 23, 2011, at the Alabama School of Fine Arts in Birmingham, AL. Mr. McCammon read T.S. Eliot’s “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.” A low-quality video of his reading is now available on the Robert McCammon YouTube channel:

Author Joe Lansdale wrote a brief essay about Robert McCammon for the Bram Stoker Awards Weekend 2013 Incorporating The World Horror Convention Souvenir Book. Robert McCammon was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award during the Bram Stoker Awards on June 15, 2013, at the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans.
