From SST Publications in the UK:

SST is currently working on a very special signed limited hardcover edition of New York Times–bestselling and Bram Stoker Award–winning author Robert McCammon’s classic novel STINGER, which is the inspiration for the new Peacock series TEACUP staring Yvonne Strahovski and Scott Speedman.

The TV Series is produced by James Wan the co-creator of the SAW and INSIDIOUS franchises and the creator of THE CONJURING Universe. The lattermost is the highest-grossing horror franchise at over $2 billion.

TEACUP is one of the most hotly anticipated horror series on television, now showing on Peacock.

First published as a paperback original in 1988, STINGER remains one of Robert McCammon’s wildest, most compelling creations. Both a furiously paced action novel and an affectionate tribute to the SF/Horror films of an earlier era, it is vintage McCammon.

“One of the best suspense novels of recent years”–Science Fiction Chronicle

“The ultimate horror novel”–The Philadelphia Inquirer

About the Author:
Robert McCammon is the New York Times bestselling author of twenty-seven books. He is the winner of five Bram Stoker Awards and a World Fantasy Award. He is best known for Swan Song, The Wolf’s Hour, and Boy’s Life. More recently, McCammon has published The Five, which Stephen King called his best novel ever, and The Border, and is writing the Matthew Corbett series, a ten-book series of historical thrillers that USA Network has called “the Early American James Bond.” McCammon lives in Birmingham, Alabama.

In 1987, Pocket Books did a lot of promotion for the June 1987 release of Robert McCammon’s Swan Song. In addition to releasing an uncorrected proof, they released a paperback Advance Reading Copy that featured a letter about the book from Pocket VP Irwyn Applebaum.

A couple of years ago, a new-to-me promotional item for Swan Song showed up on eBay. It was the first time I’d ever seen one, and I was lucky enough to win the auction. I finally got it scanned last week. It’s an oversized (9×12) pocket-less folder. When opened, it unfolds with a pop-up demon head from the cover. Click on each image below to view a larger version.

After many years of being out-of-print as a physical book, Stinger will be re-released in a new trade paperback edition on October 8, 2024! The book will be published by Open Road Media and is a tie-in edition related to the release of Teacup, the Peacock horror series inspired by Stinger. The book comes out two days before the premiere of Teacup.
