Subterranean Press has posted this update on the upcoming trade hardcover release of The Hunter from the Woods:

The Hunter from the Woods

If you’re of a mind to read a thrilling adventure novella, check out “Sea Chase”, the Michael Gallatin tale which is now posted for download to The Hunter from the Woods page. It’s a lengthy (26,000 words), self-contained, taste of this thrilling collection centered on the werewolf protagonist of McCammon’s classic novel, The Wolf’s Hour. We’ve just sent the files for the book to the printer, so look for the trade hardcover of Hunter to ship in December.

GraphicAudio has just released their audio dramatization of The Hunter from the Woods, the followup to 1989’s The Wolf’s Hour. In addition, all three parts of their audio dramatization of The Wolf’s Hour are also now available. Samples from each production can be found on their website. GraphicAudio uses a combination of narrator, actors, and sound effects to bring the audiobooks to life.

GraphicAudio has updated their website with new release dates for their audio adaptations of The Wolf’s Hour and The Hunter from the Woods. GraphicAudio produces audiobooks that combine a narrator with cinematic music, sound effects, and a full cast of actors.

Both releases will be available in MP3 and CD formats.  The Wolf’s Hour will be released in three parts: part 1 is out now, part 2 is currently slated for August 13th, and the final part should be out in September.  The Hunter from the Woods will then follow in October.  You can listen to a sample from The Wolf’s Hour here.

The Hunter from the Woods

From Subterranean Press:

As part of our ongoing celebration of Robert McCammon’s new novel, The Providence Rider (SubPress|Amazon|Bn.com), we’ve dropped the price (to $2.99) of his linked collection of lycanthropic tales, The Hunter from the Woods (Amazon|BN.com|Kobo). Astute readers will recognize that the central figure in Hunter, Michael Gallatin, is also the protagonist from McCammon’s WWII adventure, The Wolf’s Hour.

GraphicAudio produces audio dramatizations of stories using full casts, sound effects, etc. They tweeted the following teaser earlier today:

Subterranean Press has announced the trade hardcover edition of The Hunter from the Woods, which will be available in Fall 2012. You can pre-order the trade hardcover edition from Subterranean here.

Subterranean Press has also published the final part of their 3-part interview with Robert McCammon by Gwenda Bond. She and Robert talk about Matthew, his favorite research finds, the challenges of writing historical fiction, and the exclusive new Matthew Corbett novella that will be included with the limited edition. Robert also shares a tip about something to look for the books that fans of the series won’t want to miss.  You can read part all three parts of the interview on the Subterranean site: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3.

Finally, a few reviews have popped up around the ‘net in recent days:

Finally, Lou Pendergrast has created a Robert McCammon group on GoodReads. The goal is to read one Robert McCammon novel each month and discuss it.

Things on the Robert McCammon front have been really busy of late, so we thought we’d offer a quick guide to what’s going on.

The Providence Rider

We’ve just approved the rough sketches for the five black-and-white interior illustrations that will appear in all editions of the book. In addition, we’ve given Vincent Chong the okay for the two color plates exclusive to the limited and lettered editions, and the full-color endsheets (about which, see more below). The bonus novella—the first time Matthew encounters the supernatural—has been dropped into the limited edition and is being proofed. The Providence Rider is likely to be our most attractive McCammon production yet, and one hell of a thrill ride of a novel. We expect it to land on many fans’ lists of favorites of 2012, so don’t miss out.

We’ve decided to add the full-color endsheets to the signed trade copies (but not the unsigned trade edition), to make them an even better value to collectors. There are only 1000 of these, unlike the nearly 2000 copies that Robert McCammon signed for The Five, so please get your order in soon.

Two McCammon limiteds that aren’t on our immediate schedule, Bethany’s Sin and Stinger, have already been fully designed, and are working their way through the production process. 2012 is really going to be the year of McCammon here at SubPress.

Feel free to head over to our site to order all but the ebooks, where Visa, Mastercard, and PayPal are accepted.

Robert McCammon’s newest book, The Hunter from the Woods, is now available in ebook format for Kindle and NOOK.
